54 Main Bar & Grille: A Hub for Delicious American Seafood and Sports Enthusiasts

Been there twice. Once with my sisters for lunch and then went back a few days later with my husband for lunch. White Line cocktail is fabulous! Turkey Club w/ FF and Shaved Prime Rib are both great items in the menu. I didn’t order it but saw a mountain high Nacho player come out to the table next to us. We were in town for my nieces theatre production at FDU. Quaint little town. Street parking but no meters.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional-fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were perfectly crafted, generous, and well balanced. Every dish showed attention to detail and quality. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was professional and warm. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food and excellent drinks.

.I’ve lived in Madison for almost 23 years and was actually there the same night being described. My experience was completely different. It was around 10:20pm and the bartender clearly said the kitchen was closed but the bar was open — which seemed reasonable for that time of night. As more people came in, including a larger group, the place picked up and the energy felt fun and lively. From where I was sitting, she was handling multiple groups at once and staying professional. I also saw her apologize at the end of the night, which showed accountability. It didn’t seem “dead” or inattentive — it looked like one bartender managing a late-night crowd. 54 Main has been a longtime Madison staple, and I’ve consistently had great experiences there. Just offering another perspective from someone who was also there.

What a nice place to stop by. Love their vibes, the staff is good, the bartender April is very good. Upbeat and excellent bartender. Just bumped into the new manger Tony, who is very friendly. I always like to meet up with my friends at 54, compared to other spots around.

I had the BEST portabella burger. Avacador, sweet onion, delicious. Ed was a great introduction as we are new to Madison. Antonio made us feel more than welcome, at home. Ck out this place. Great food and a space for everyone.

Me and my partner just recently visited 54 main, saw reviews and it looked good, so we decided to try it, as we are just passing through. We had a seat at the bar and immidideyly we were greeted and helped, particularly the bartender Michael. He made our drinks very quickly and refused a tip until we made him take it. The food came out shortly after and was great, especially the potstickers (I highly recommend). Overall great night, great food and great drinks, I 100% to recommend anyone passing through or even just looking for a nice place. Thank you!!!!

I had visited many times in the past, for local business lunches and dinners, and recently visited again for dinner. The food and beverage quality was outstanding. I had the smashburger ($17) and it was fantastic. They have a nice selection of draft beers. The service was very good, although I have noticed that the manager kind of plays favorites which isn’t great for an occasional guest. The atmosphere is very nice. Overall, a very good customer experience and value.

Great food! We visited a museum in the area and stopped by for lunch. I'm so glad that we did! We started with pan-seared potstickers and shared turkey burger and smashed burger. The mayo on the turkey burger was so good. Both came with fries, but we upgraded one to onion rings for a small charge. It was not too busy, so food came out quickly. Our waiter, Javier, and the rest of the team were attentive. Highly recommend!
